1 Cold salt pipeline heating

The temperature of the cold salt pipeline is relatively low, and the heating cable is not in direct contact with the molten salt. 2 Hot salt pipeline heating

Hot oil pipelines should generally maintain a temperature of about 500 °C and the design temperature should not exceed 600%. It is required that the electric heating system can preheat the pipeline at the first start of the power plant or restart after shutdown, and can maintain the normal operating temperature of the hot salt pipeline (usually 509 °C) after molten salt is introduced. When selecting armored mineral insulated heating cables for the outer protective pipe, a seamless 825 alloy pipe is commonly used. The nominal heat resistance of the heating cable should not be lower than 600 ° C, and the insulation resistance at high temperatures of 500 ° C must meet the power transmission requirements, during construction it should be laid evenly and close to the pipe in order to prevent local overheating.

3 Molten salt storage tank heating

Molten salt storage tanks are divided into cold salt storage tanks and hot salt storage tanks. Usually 260 ℃ ~ 575 ℃, the design temperature is usually from 40 ℃ to 575 ℃. It is required that the electric heating system be able to preheat the storage tank at the first start of the power plant and maintain the normal operating temperature of the storage tank after passing the molten salt. Since the molten salt storage tank is a thick cylindrical tank, it is installed directly on the floor, and the reinforced mineral insulated heating cable cannot exceed the minimum liquid level when installed, and only the installed on the outer wall of the tank cannot meet the temperature of the heating requirement of the molten salt storage tank. Therefore, the heating cable must be installed on the outer wall of the tank and the inner surface of the bottom at the same time. The heating cable installed on the inner bottom is in direct contact with the high temperature molten salt. When choosing the heating cable, the outer protective tube material is usually 825 alloy seamless pipe. During production, the wall thickness of the outer protective tube should be appropriately increased.
